- I don't know a single thing about Taylor Swift besides the fact that she's blonde, squinty, and has curly hair, but I'm still on her side about the Jonas Brothers thing and I'm starting to like her. She's just pissed off y'all, whatever, it's understandable. And funny. Okay to be fair, I would be on anyone's side if they were against the Jonas Brothers, and this includes Zefron and Miley Cyrus. Anyone except like. Katy Perry.
- Sooo speaking of which. WHY IS SHE STILL HERE? Seriously, GO AWAY. WHY IS IT OKAY THAT SHE IS STILL HERE?? World, it is NOT okay. IT IS NOT OKAY.
- Lucas Grabeel is darling, I have no problems with Ashley Tisdale except that her hair is really big, Zefron is plastic and utterly devoid of charisma.
- I'm actually very keen on seeing Robert Pattinson act in Twilight. He's so crazily honest (or if not honest, at least COMPLETELY un-PR) about everything, I do bleev what he says about just falling into acting and not knowing what to do. He really is new. I'm kinda excited for the Salvador Dali movie he's in. I think M. Pattinson is genuinely a weird guy, but he's really smart too, and sweet. He seems so super honest to me and by that I don't mean the strict objective truth honest, I just mean that even when he's clearly bullshitting, he's not much for a rehearsed persona and he doesn't have any inclination to pretend to be anyone other than himself. Giggly mumbling hobo charm! I really like him.

SPN
Out of the nine episodes that have aired, I've seen three and that's a pretty good amount. I watch all the relevant clips from the other ones (ie anything with Castiel) on youtube. I have zero interest in Sam and Dean anymore. The only thing I'm interested in is Castiel. And Mary if they do another episode with the backstory for some reason. This makes me feel fickle, because I was soooo hella invested by the end of season 2, but seriously season 3 was SO FUCKING AWFUL. It broke all the trust I had with the show. Season 4 is better but a lot of the same fundamental problems keep showing up, mainly all the fuckfaced racist and sexist thinking. Ugh SPN, you're so goddamn stupid.

BUT I watched the preview clipz for the next episode, and I'm really glad they brought Pamela back! She was only in the first episode for like five minutes but she was so memorable, just because she was genuinely fun and competent and had a substantive reason to be in the show. (You might take these kinds of things for granted in a show that's not Supernatural, Home of Interchangeable Female Characters.) The actress is so great too.

Also (of course of course) Misha Collins is a really good actor. Or at least he's just fucking PERFECT at playing Castiel, because that role is like a tightrope; he could fuck up so many times in so many ways, but he's just SO GOOD.

The Daily Show & fronds
For serious, Jon Stewart is so eloquent. You can really see this in the interviews where he argues with the interviewee. He's so fast, he's like on all the time. JON STEWART, I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE ON TV. I'm a little, little sad about how the Daily Show and company have been mainstreamed, not in content but in audience and the larger media's perception of the show. Like the audience being so loud to boo etc, and Entertainment Weekly (lol so prestigious~) calling JStew a talking head. :( I guess technically he is, but I think TDS is subversive in relation to all the connotations "talking head" implies so... :(. Okay that sentence made no sense.

Just because you like something does not mean that it has to be perfect. Christ nearly the ENTIRE TELEVISION INDUSTRY is fucking steeped in every kind of -ism there is; the particular show you like does not have to be a fucking beacon of light. And it in and of itself doesn't say anything about you. It's not an indictment of your immortal soul or whatever to enjoy a television show that has huge huge flaws. What IS a reflection of you is how you respond to that.

Rurrrrrrgh it makes you not want to live on this planet at all.

I miss Jo. Don't get me wrong, I like the new girls a lot, but I liked Jo TOO and I wish she would be back for season three. No kidding, I really want to see the reunion between Ellen and Jo. La la la we are DEFINITELY GETTING IT LA LA LA.

Oh man. It's finally happened. The scales have tipped. I like Sam now. No qualifiers. Now I has to have a cry or something now, because of all the EMOTION. UNIRONIC.

The Office
- I have only ever seen Ryan happy when he's singing (A Benihana Christmas to Alanis Morrisette, in the bus in Beach Games) and of course the most awesome tag scenes in the history of tag scenes. Oh Ryan, you big dork. You pretend all you want, WE KNOW. KAREOKE FIEND LOLZ
- Melora Hardin's performance is amazing, but the Jan destruction is so horrible. I still really hate it. wrt the boob job especially, it breaks my heart a little because she prefaced all of that by saying she's never felt so good about herself or so happy, she'd been making a lot of changes... And of course in Women's Appreciation Day, one of Michael's cons is that Jan is flat-chested. And Michael gets back together with her after he sees the boob enhancement job (oh... I wonder if the writers did that on purpose, with the title and all - I kind of hope they did and that that means they'll be fixing this mess) and she says later that Michael likes them and that's all that matters. Oh Jan. I want to protect her from the whole wide world since the writers don't seem like they're going to.
- I laughed a lot during all the Dwight scenes. And the Andy scenes. I can't believe that I ended up liking these characters.
- I'd feel bad for Kelly (re: Ryan's cooooold breakup) but she called Pam's speech pathetic. So no.
- Speaking of, that tag scene, as awesome as it was, it messed with me! I really thought that Ryan secretly liked Kelly. Oh well, he's certainly moving on up now. Yay Ryan!
- I liked the small hints that Jim/Karen are like Roy/Pam, just to a lesser degree; they're not quite right for each other. There are the big ones too, brought up in previous eps, but I liked what they did in this ep. Karen calling Jim's hair homeless (or er, you get the pt), Karen sort of having to force herself onto the same wavelength as Jim w/ the Jan boob job thing, Karen putting Jim down about the Lorne Michaels thing, Karen being unsympathetic to Jan, and finally Karen agreeing to leave instead of waiting. It's not like this makes her a bad person or a bitch, like Roy wasn't really a bad person. There's just a disconnect.
- I loved Pam in this ep. I love Pam period. I love how bright she was, how unafraid, how honest. And I loved her scenes with Dwight! I love that it never really feels like Pam is mocking anyone really; she's so empathetic.

SPN
I can't talk about anything specific about the SPN because once I start talking about little things I'd start talking about the big things too, and I just will never be able to do that in a satisfactory way. I cannot deal with some of things, still. But really really quickly, to trick my stupid brain:
- I think no question, if someone had killed Sam in s1, Dean would've killed him as soon as possible. But he holds off. I think he's slowly learned over the course of this season that... well, you know, Dean can't ignore the similarities Jake and Sam have, or Ava or Andy. He has to give him a chance. I think the extent Dean will go to for his family has now turned inward though. He's all about self-punishment, minimalizing the damage by taking everything. He won't lash out as much. Even with Bobby at the beginning, after he shoves him, he apologizes right away, crumbles in on himself. Dean. (Possibly a bullshit theory.)
- I love that you see ghosts flickering around when the gates open. It makes the dad showing up and wrestling the demon like a bear omg wtf less jarring.
- When they're researching the Wyoming thing, they're like a family. They are. And Jo will be their little sister. And they'll be a team and they'll survive and they'll let Dean know, it's okay, he has more than just one thing now. And they will be awesome and strong and love so much till the end of time.
- Jake is stupid. He wouldn't have to worry about his family if the fucking Demon was dead. Ava broke b/c she had no to very little choice and absolutely none at destroying the power that was keeping her there; Jake had the Colt in his hand.
- Dean hugging Ellen breaks my heart, especially when he tucks his head into her shoulder with his mouth hidden and his nose against her jacket. He's just breathing her in there. She's the closest to and really the only mother he has in the world. Dean breaks my heart all the time anyway, but especially when he hugs anyone. The look on his face. It's always almost too much to bear.
- Jo has to reunite with her mother, and WE HAVE GOT TO SEE THAT SCENE.
- The crossroads demon was really well-done; I liked that actress a lot. She was almost maternal toward Dean. Though I guess a very Oedipal maternal. But all the "look, I really shouldn't be doing this", the perverse soft spot fondness, it was almost motherly. That's messed. Oh Dean. All the mother things are stll stinging so soon after WIaWSNB.
- Those last few scenes does things to me still. Like "confused breakdown" things. Am I happy? Am I sad? I'm both! At the same time! My internal system is so fucking confused, it doesn't know what to do. It's just overwhelmed with love and emotion. It near breaks me clean in half.
- Let's have a hand for the women in this ep, the crossroads demon and Ellen, both with very cool voices, both very well-acted.
- JA must've been wrecked after this episode. God. He was phenomenal.
There are some scenes that I can't even begin to talk about; it's just impossible. I cannot deal. Oh god, this show. *cries*

oh spn

I will never get over this episode/this season/THIS SHOW, never ever ever ever. I woke up thinking about SPN and haven't stopped since. Just seeing the words "carry on my wayward son" makes my face collapse. Looking at picspams make me want to cry. After all that, they're still alive and together and that's all. They have each other. That is the beginning and the end of it. I am just worn raw but I love it, I loved that episode, I loved this season, and I love them so much. I am just never getting over this show.

The ratings for the finale were at an all-time low though! That breaks my heart in a whole different way. It would seriously wreck me for YEARS if SPN ever got cancelled before its time. I hope to god Grey's dies a horrible flaming death. Though I would feel bad for Ellen Pompeo. Oh fuck off, everyone, I like Meredith/Ellen Pompeo and your collective diseased Izzie-loving asses can go to hell. I'd feel bad for Justin Chambers too, and Kate Walsh (but she has her own show now right?). Patrick Dempsey too, he seems like a nice enough guy. BUT I HAVE NO FEELING WHATSOEVER FOR EVERYONE ELSE.

I am so anxious about next season. People need to watch this show! Why aren't people watching this show?? Okay, so the writing isn't... great, sometimes, but it was a HEART and a SOUL and it loves the audience and it will do some fucking justice to its characters and everyone who works on it just puts their all into it. What the fuck more can you ask for? It's like, okay, it's not ridiculously smart and talented like the Office and FNL, but it's brilliant a lot of the time and it knows its genre, the horror movie. But there's also the story of families and this family in particular. Family legacies, family dynamics, manifestations of love through hugs, through broken promises, through "bitch" and "jerk". That's the heart. That's what makes it so real, so affecting. In this way it's like Ugly Betty, which is obstentiably a soapy telenova but is actually about real people with both flaws and strengths, exteriors and depths. So okay, SPN isn't the cleverest or flashiest thing around, but it just. Something. I've never loved a TV show so much, I've never cared about TV characters so much. Other shows have to work really really hard to even affect me as much. That says something yo.

I had a bad experience during the first half of the day. But I listened through the Animaniacs CD while eating an unsatisfying lunch, then I took a nap, browsed through some CAT MACROS, and watched a few Henry Rollins clips on youtube. So now I'm coo'. How can you not be with CAT MACROS in your day??

This is an old promo but it's still so fucking cool. SPN wins! I am going to watch the new episode in real time if it kills me. RAWR~>!
