i sound like sucha hater rn but i think that's my problem in general with taemin. he's young and obviously needs to, idk, develop a personality or a sense of security where he's comfortable enough to actually show he has one and jonghyun is the exact opposite in that way- he sort of bleeds emotions? and he emotes like an emoting thing it kills me that i still remember the exact moment i fell in love with his voice because it made my heart jump and do funny things. replay was always such a perfect song because it was so /them/ you know what i mean? it showed off their own distinct color right from the beginning and a lot of that had to do with jonghyun, from that first note you could tell ok this is a shinee song and japanese replay is just lackluster in that respect. it's a little too generic for me.
jonghyun's weird in that whatever state his hair is in any given time makes a huge difference in how he looks overall. i hated juliette, i hate when they give him porcupine hair and HAIR EXTENTIONS ON SHIRTS WHAT EVEN. i think rdd, the blond, i love that hair so much and also that casual little style he had going on right around sm the ballad promos. idk i lost track of what i was saying here?
he's like a heart, almost. i remember, randomly, one of my friends was talking about another of our friends and she said that she was like a heart that grew like arms and legs? it sounds ridic when i say it but i feel like that's exactly who jonghyun is as well. he's just so out there with all of his feelings, of which there are so many lol, insecurities and all. i like that the most about him, like he doesn't close up even with all the attention he has on him.
jonghyun and minho were my favorites in the beginning, i think minho changed so much it's like he's a brand new person. i think he's easy to like but he's deemed talentless so it's easy for people to dismiss him as well. :( it's sort of irrational but i think i like a lot of people for how they are with the people i love so jonghyun and minho being so openly affectionate really does something to me, it's very hard to resist when they just assault you with their pda. jongtae is such a mystery to me! i don't even get it half the time, and i like them a lot, but it's so interesting i JUST DONT GET IT. it's interesting to me mostly because of how jonghyun seems to adapt to whoever he is with and with taemin it's like there's very little room to do, well, anything? jongyu are like a premature ejaculation, they peeked during hello baby, these days everything is about reading too much into their interactions and hoping onew overcomes his fear of physical closeness that doesn't involve taemin (or minho). lmao i sound so bitter about it what is going on here.
