when matty first became qb, he was so shy, he had to email all his plays
You know what I realized? I LOVE SMASH. I am happy to see him all the time. I literally gasped and clapped my hands to my mouth when I saw the foil wrapped plate in his hands. He got someone to do that for him probably, but that just... I mean I love, love, love that he's such a normal teenage boy. And that he really does like Waverly. And he's really trying for her. But that he's still Smash. OMG I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. OH HIS OFFENDED LITTLE FACE WHEN BUDDY GARRITY TOLD HIS JOKE.
I <3 Waverly a lot too. She's self-important in that understandable teenage way. So she's taking her meds again? Good. Good for her. I want everyone to be okay!!!
Okay, and you know what else I realized? I SORT OF LOVE LYLA. How did this show go from Jason being too good for Lyla to Lyla being too good for Jason??? Maybe love is too strong a word, but I feel for her a lot now and I'm kind of giddy to see her. She's really becoming her own person now, and I love THAT at least. The actress is totally getting better too. <333 *cheers* (Are they going to acknowledge her badass trashing of her dad's dealership?)
I still think Tim is a waste of skin though. Seriously, I don't think they can do ANYTHING to make me like him. I laughed at his retarded joke scene for the beauty of the awkwardness, but he was completely not endeared to me any further. I like Bo MORE and MORE though. "No one pushes Bo Miller around." <333333333333333333333333333
Oh, Jason. You're so cute, but seriously, prime dick behavior. It's a credit to him, though, that I didn't end up hating him but just wanted to slap him upside the head. I hope he's not a Nice Guy Not Really, Just Wants to Always Seem Like a Nice Guy But By Doing So Turning Out to Be a Total Douche... I kind of got that vibe from him, with the "could you please just wait inside? Please? It's not what it looks like." If he is, I see him being boxed in at Dillon for the rest of his life. I don't know why.
The Taylors are the most perfect family interaction I have ever seen. Tami WINS. I was groaning at the last scene when it looked like they were all moving to Austin after all - I like Coach on his own again, but serious-fucking-ly - but Tami is too fucking awesome for that. Their relationship is so, so perfect. Julie is so sweet. The Taylors totally cannot leave. They CANNOT. Also, Tami is the prettiest lady. That scene with Landry? Also, I only really LOVE Coach when he's with his family (and when he's not sounding like a condescending douche to his wife), but Kyle Chandler is a great great actor.
Even though he was only in the episode for about two minutes total: oh, Matt. He's so perfect. How is so. Mnph. (He seemed a little more animated this episode to me.)
I don't know what to say about Tyra, except that I almost cried when they showed her standing up to clap after Tami's speech and when they hugged. She's going to get out of that town and get everything she deserves (that phrase just sounds so threatening all the time), and she'll be great. Adrianne Palicki is amazing in that role; the scene where she snarled at Landry? the scene where she apologized? the scene with Tim (which I had to watch b/c of her; otherwise I would've skipped it)? Even though I didn't love how strong Landry came after her after her apology, I loved that he got her to see that Tim is such a bad idea, that in general she deserves so much better. Oh, Tyra. She's so amazing.
Whoa, I think I like all the main girls on this show. Tami... Julie... Tyra... Lyla, now... Waverly... <3333
This show. I think I could be happy with this one perfect season, it's just so full and complete.
edit: The deleted scene for this episode on the website, with Tyra and Tami. Oh God.
