Oh yeah I think the age/experience matters a lot too. There's a certain lack of maturity to most of the fandom, and I don't necessarily mean that as an insult. It just feels very young, with all the implications.

UGH I HATE REALITY SHOW ELIMINATION DRAMA SO MUCHHHH. I just feel really bad for them! Especially when it's actual talent-based elimination because they all look so nervous and earnest and scared and ;~~~~~~; it's sf mean ;~~~;
