if only it was a true kitty corner
I miss everything in the universe at the moment, but Mellie the moast uhh after Julian and my mom and my sister.
Here is what my desk area looks like at the moment. I just put up all the stuff on the walls yesterday, except for the calendar (the bright pink/orange paper) which has been floating on the wall all on its lonesome for like a month. Took the pix on my cell phone. I need a camera.
Quite dim; I took it at night. As I've mentioned before, I'm proud of how space-efficient it is. I made a couple of more inches of desk room for myself with that box in the corner. Those rectangular things by the blinds are like a mobile I made of some drawings Julian did on index cards a couple of years ago. I hole-punched holes on both ends, connected them with paper clips, and stuck it the fuck on the blind thing. You can't really see the whole area; there are a couple of containers stacked very neatly next to the desk. IT'S ALL SPACE-EFFICIENT AS HELL.
Close-up, taken this morning. The pearl earrings are part of the letter my sister wrote to me before I left for UCLA this year. It is terrifyingly awesome. The row of gingerbread men and the panda print (cut off at the lower right-hand corner, but you can see in the previous picture) are from her too. She bought the panda picture on her trip to China. Julian did one of the drawings up there; you can prolly tell which one. My cousin took the black photo up there. The 'courtesy returns' sign is just a piece of paper I stole from work. The rest of the stuff are postcards or flyer things, and stuff I wrote up when I was bored (like there are couple of poems and lyric things up there).
This is what my dorm room looked like last year:
Lots of repeat. I love the Be Kind Rewind poster so much (Bleach chapter cover!!) but I didn't want to put it up this year b/c I'm scared the tape will fuck it up. This was just the stuff above my bed though; there was some more around my desk. I'm proud of how I had my shit set up last year too. I AM GOOD AT DESK!SPACE-EFFICIENCY.
