are sometimes afraid because jonghyun’s so perfect
I love this and I love him. He is very close to being joy incarnate in this performance.
1. His hand shaking when Yoseob picked him as the next performance.
2. "People said, 'Do you really think you can make it? No way, go back to study. Live like other people!' But I liked this so much and thought I was not wrong in choosing this." Fuck goddamn ;~;
3. PLAYING WITH HIS HIGH SCHOOL BAND.
4. At the beginning of the full/studio recording Jonghyun says, "Everyone, if you don't help me out today, I'm going to look really stupid."
5. The way he ran on-stage. He really just fucking went for it in this.
6. Getting the audience to stand up at the beginning. He's SO FUCKING charming. It makes me helpless with love. I'm really so so happy that the audience responded to him.
7. "Look at me, at small me." LOL I love him.
8. The lyrics really do fit him so well, and that completely makes up for how the style doesn't fit his voice at all. NAAAAAAAAAH
9. The little gestures, his energy, how he's into the music and feeling the lyrics and jumping around.
10. LOL the crowd's/other contestants' faces, like "what is this person?" Seriously, where did he even come from? How did he survive like this? NEVER LET THEM CHANGE YOU JJONG
11. Na naaaaaaaa nananananananana~
12. I love how he went up to his band members and kinda spotlighted them/had some quality headbanging time with them individually. UGH GOD HIS HIGH SCHOOL FRANNNNDS. And his friend Sojin was there too, and they all must've had so much fun, and he loves the people around him so much, and I love him too much to even bear it sometimes.
13. "Everyone, I have a confession to make. Actually, I - I - I'm both-handed!!11"
14. He's having SO MUCH fun. Frenetic puppy fucking gamboling about with energy.
15. LMAO the guys in the audience seemed really into it. That one dude was totally feeling it.
16. His last line sounded really good lol.
17. I love the way he thought this out with that fucking hair and his loud outfit and HIS HIGH SCHOOL FRIENDS!!! and the lyrics. Oh jesus I'm so fucking happy he got this show. He really has been able to show different sides to him through his performances so far; they've all been pretty distinct from one another and I've loved them all for very different reasons. I want him to be able to do things like this all the time.
It was a hot mess but a joyful one, and it wasn't a mess for the sake of being messy. It was fun and endearing and untrained and very him. I love the idea of him being able to return to his trainee days when music was still so new and fresh and exciting to him. His shouting sounds legit good in the full recording/studio version too. I don't think his voice is right for these songs but he always gets the emotion right to me. I fucking loved this.
I'm trying not to think about how they edited the fuck out of his performance and left out tons of shit because I'll like suffocate with anger. HIGH NOTE AND RUNNING OUT ON STAGE. I can't believe we didn't get to see this. That we'll probably never get to see this??? Also they showed literally five seconds of him preparing for the next show. What the fuck. >:((( UGH I'M GONNA STOP THINKING ABOUT IT.
