What the hell, my posting pattern has been consistent across three weeks: post every day Sunday through Wednesday, don't post anything Thursday - Saturday. I guess that makes me look like I have some semblance of a life but I do not! idk why it's turning out like this~ Also, I assume that if I'm your fronds list, you do not mind useless spam because blogging is my life blood again. And I will most likely be obsessed with kpop until the end of time.

What the fuck, that's the kind of shit I do, and this asshole is being PAID for it. I fucking hate the professor. And academia in general for its douchemongering support of assholes like him. Ugh the worst is that he isn't even the worst.

Speaking of which, my angst with people used to be more focused on how much of an asshole everyone was. Now I'm in the process of accepting how fucking stupid people are. I include myself.
It was windy yesterday! My favorite weather. I always get in a good mood when I walk when it's windy. lol alliteration~ It's finally starting to get cold now. Winter clothes are starting to appear and omfg, I LOVE winter clothes. COATS. GODDAMN.

If you like one band, or even just one person in kpop, you are going to end up liking a million people. It is the slipperiest slope possible, just because kpop is so interbred and everyone knows each other or are friends and everyone is so fucking cute kalsdjfklajdf;. There are a bunch of non-idol people I love just from seeing them on various variety shows while I was stalking SNSD/SHINee: Shin Bongsun, Shinji from Koyote (I LOVE HER), Kim Jedong, and Brian from Fly to the Sky. I'm kind of fond of Solbi too.
SO MUCH CRAZY NEWS ABOUT SHINEE/JONGHYUN LATELY. WHERE THE FUCK DID THIS BALLAD GROUP COME FROM?? LOLLOLOL MY LAST MEDIA CRAZE WAS THE BEATLES, I'M NOT USED TO SO MUCH NEWS

Oh dear god I didn't even think about the possibility of idols using drugs to keep up with their schedule. That makes too much sense. It is pretty impossible for some of them to do all the shit they do and be as coherent as they are. Though maybe it's normalized since they've been working that hard since they were young teenagers? Wouldn't that mean that their bodies are just deteriorating then?? Like, SHINee is scheduled for two concerts in the same fucking day. They're practically back to back. WHY WOULD SM THINK THIS IS A GOOD IDEA. CRYING.

SHINee is known but not actually popular in Korea, but it has one of the largest international followings, I think? At least one of the biggest English-speaking fandoms. Before I fell into the abyss I heard about DBSK and Super Junior a looooot but it seems like they're not that ~relevant~ in Korea either, though people know who they are. SNSD is popular everywhere. omg I only SM groups. There are trends in who is popular or considered most attractive too. I mean, you can't generalize too much, but the ones who are always called out for their beauty~ on variety shows and the like.
LOL one good thing out of this is that I've finally stopped being so defensive of my favorites. This was a real problem for me since I am stupid. But now I'm secure enough that I can just >:( at unfavorable comments and not get all het up over them. I'm still hurt when I see a lot of hate though.
Still thinking about kpop fan culture, which has the batshit entitlement of all fan culture dialed up realllly far. It's not just a Korean thing, idk, maybe it's just a boyband thing in general that gets mutated with kpop's weird packaging. Jonghyun doesn't have anything to apologize for and he does not objectively need to be forgiven. He literally does not! Dating someone is not an offense and neither is dating someone publically. I know fans are hurt but the most he could say is that he's sorry that they're hurt. It is not healthy for people to feel entitled to any person, let alone a person they literally DO NOT and probably will not ever know. It's not his fault because there's no fault to be had! So many circular sentences, I know, but this mentality of, like... feeling like you're in position to ~forgive~ a celebrity is really bizarre to me. How do people even build these kinds of relationships to people they don't know? Like, so automatically? Fucking strange. I have a really passive consumer attitude toward celebrities, I don't connect myself to them at all and I negotiate whatever shit I have with them ~within myself~. Maybe it's just that the fanbase is so young and they don't know how to get over it yet.
Ahah I'm really glad someone asked this question about the way kpop promotions and music shows work. I figured out the gist of it on my own, but holy shit I did not know that MNet, Music Bank, Music Core, and Inkigayo were seriously Thursday - Sunday and that most artists promote at all four every week during their comeback period. I guess I should've figured that out, but seriously, thinking of it in those concrete terms is really sad.
