you can always tell when i have a paper due
I was writing a big thing on kpop fic fandom but I got side-tracked by things I would like to read. Why can't I write, I have so many perfect ideas!!!
- 2min as private detective partners in a noir AU!! Onew is their soft-hearted and world-weary 'in' with the police department. Key is their case as the only son of a powerful politican who has disappeared. JONGHYUN IS MINHO'S INGENUE. Don't question me, this is a perfect story!!111
- JONGHYUN WINNING SHIN SEKYUNG OVER WITH HIS FUN COMFY FLIRTING. This is basically how it is in my heart:

- Uhhh this is soooo self-indulgent but I was thinking about how I hate when people characterize Jonghyun AS his stage presence (smirky dbag player) and I was like how would that be plausible? + feeling sadcat about fics where Jonghyun loses his voice or is otherwise unable to sing (I seriously get depressed, I'm fucking lost for life) + wondering about his relationship with his dad and his general insecurities (umm I'm just creepy) + though I think it's dumb and pointless to speculate on other people's sexuality, I see Jonghyun as bisexual (+ really hungry and bored on the bus) = SUPER LONG CONVOLUTED SCENARIO where oh god nvm I'm too embarrassed to type it out, it is REALLY self-indulgent and melodramatic.
- jongho in every possible AU situation becoming best friends even without external circumstances forcing them together.
- Ex: Jonghyun is a music teacher for kindegarteners/musician busking for change on the street (pure id-tastic fantasies) and Minho is a lawyer. They meet... somehow... and end up living together... somehow... I don't care whatever. I hate all papers.
- Minho/Krystal where she thinks he's really lame but is won over despite herself and Minho is discomfited by his attraction to her. When they git marrid she keeps joking that she's gonna elope with Jonghyun, who hangs out at their house all the time. (Plus some random pregnancy absurdity.) lol idk where this came from. I think in the end they should all get married in my backyard. I will cater the wedding with ramen and Cadbury eggs.
- Weird character study where Jonghyun has a relationship with a male friend that he knew from predebut from the POV of the predebut friend. Kinda aromantic, doomed relationship, etc. This is also self-indulgent.
- Thinking exclusively with my metaphorical dick: people manhandling Jonghyun. I don't care what context. He's so fucking tiny, just push him around people!! BEST: Minho picks him up off the floor. Ugh where is my shame? Do I have any? I only have giant paragraphs.
- Taemin trying to set up this super elaborate seduction plan to bone Onew on his birthday but it fails because Onew comes home rly tired and they just fall asleep together on the couch like baby animals.
- ONEW WORKS IN A MINE, TAEMIN IS HIS BORED HOUSEWIFE WHO ORDERS USELESS BIMBO GADGETS FROM CATALOGS ALL DAY AND NEVER CLEANS OR COOKS. THEY REPRODUCE BY SPORES LIKE LITTLE BEAN SPROUTS. I AM CRAZY.
- Married Jonghyun in awe of his wife (whoever it is) when she's pregnant. What. WHAT. LEAVE ME ALONE, I CAN THINK THESE THINGS IF I LIKE.
- Alternatively Jonghyun and Roo having adventures. Like Jonghyun is sucked into an alternate universe/spiritual plane with only Roo and he's all scurred (because there are zombies!! I am trying to restrain myself here) and Roo saves the day by leading him back home somehow and he thinks it was a weird-ass dream but lets Roo eat her favorite food anyway and Roo smiles secretly to herself, satisfied and proud of saving her durmb owner. LOL this is even more questionable than jjong *O*ing over his pregnant wife.
- That 1000000 word long fic with the Minho/Key + Jonghyun HB outtake dynamic. Please include the part where they recite their own vows under a beautiful lavendar gazebo and their photographer fans are in the front row taking perfect wedding album pictures through their tears. Later jjong's fanclubs collectively adopt me.
- ANYTHING WHERE JONGHYUN CRIES AND PEOPLE ENJOY IT TOO MUCH. This the kind of self-insert fic I fantasize about.
- Jonghyun and Key learning that they're better off as friends but making the same mistake over and over again because they're love each other too much, are enamored of each other, are too close for comfort, each other's teenage dreams, etc etc.
- Slice of life, Jonghyun's day. Waking up early, bothering Minho, wandering around alone listening to music, writing lyrics in his head, daydreaming about weird shit, coming back to the dorm, bothering Minho, etc. It would be boring and perfect.
- SHINee's relationship with food. It doesn't have to be srs business with eating disorders or anything, but like Onew worrying about how Jonghyun and Key don't eat, Jonghyun enjoying feeding people but not actually enjoying eating (meta meta meta), Key constantly feeling like he's fighting his body and being envious of the others' uncomplicated relationships with food. I don't know. I just like reading about that kind of shit.
- Jonghyun/Wheesung for real when Jonghyun is older and not an idol anymore and Wheesung is surprised because he thought Jonghyun had grown out of the hero worship? But Jonghyun just actually likes Wheesung.
- DUMB ROMCOM PLOTZ FOR EVERYTHING.
- I uh always want my favorites to get genderswapped. SUNNY WAKES UP AS A BANGING HOT GUY, SOSHI FEND OFF GIRLS WITH STICKS. <3__<3

- Taeyeon and Sunny friendship where Taeyeon realizes that she's never been as open/close to anyone as she is to Sunny and being shy and grateful. SELF-INDULGENT, I LOVE SUNNY.
- Weird Invincible Youth village AU where everyone thinks Sunny is looking to get married soon and they're all >:( and super critical of all potential suitors and scare everyone away because they don't want Sunny to leeeaaaaave. Sunny kinda watches in amusement for a while and then lets them know that she won't leave as long as they need her and it's a big mushy Sunny love pile because they'll never stop needing her!! Oh my godddddd what is wrong with me.
- Seohyun is a duchess. idk I guess that's the whole story.
- SOOYOUNG GETS AN AMAZING BOYFRIEND WHO WORSHIPS HER AS SHE DESERVES AND IT IS GREAT.
- Super Junior are dumb pirates. KRY defect (idk anything about pirates) and travel around on Yesung's turtle ship. (lmaooo this amuses me alotALOT because part of elementary Korean history is learning about General Yi Sunshin and his turtle ship. It's like a story about the ~Founding Fathers in America.) Then a bunch of stuff happens idk.
- JYP college AU. Okay I don't know enough to come up with any scenarios, I just want a bunch of people to have huge crushes on miss A's Jia and someone to go on a date with her and she's wearing overalls or something and they ride a rollercoaster and get soaked at the beach. Okay ~I~ want to go on a date with Jia. WHATEVER!
- Sad character study on 2PM's Junsu and his insecurity/plastic surgeries. I am so fucking fond of Junsu you guys.
- f(x) Sulli/Krystal high school AU. Experimentation and vague secret girlfriends.
- SHINee/2PM supergroup. I don't even know what this would entail. They all live in a big house together? Why? I don't know. Maybe some interband exchange program where they trade members for a week. Why? I don't know.
